What means "not properly"? Not fully soluble?

1. There are far more polar solvents than the high-boiling DMSO or DMF. Try nitriles or alcohols (if you complex is stable).

2. Mixtures of solvents are frequently superior in dissolving complexes and help in crystallisation. Unfortunately, there are no general rules about this.
