I'm trying to calculate the molar extinction coefficient of a viral capsid using the following eqn:

ε280 (/M/cm)= (nW x 5500)+(nY x 1490)+(nC x 125)

However, my values are not matching to an already calculated result.

What would I need to consider besides using the amino acid sequences of VP1, VP2, and VP3? I tried adding all the molar extinction coefficients of the 3 VPs but i'm not getting the value that i expect.

I would appreciate any guidance on this
