Hi community, I need to modify my thr heat equation in comsol and the variable T depending just on y. So, what is the best way to follow? Should I modify the equations from the "equation view tree" by canceling the terms for x and z? If yes, what are the suitable terms should I cancel? I have tried that, but the variable T remains constant all the time, the moment where it should decreases.
I also have tried to use the PDE equations by modifying the constants but it seems more complicated to converge.

Thank you Elsheikh for your answer. Well, the geometry that I am working on is a rectangle 2D (width and heigh). So do you mean I should modify it from the entrance of Comsol?
In the two dimensional problem , On the boundary, it becomes only one dimensional. So, if y-axis is variable on one part, the x should be have a constant value. On the other side x-axis if it is variable, y should be has a constant value.

After you set your 2D model, you need to add a new physics. Then you choose "Mathematics -> PDE Interfaces -> Lower Dimensions -> Weak Form Boundary PDE". This will add a weak form PDE on boundaries. Then for that PDE you need to set the boundaries where this is solved. Heat equation in weak form looks like
test(T)*T+k*test(Tx)*Tx
where k is the thermal conductivity, and T is the variable for the temperature. You could also use Coefficient Form PDE.
