It is well known that surfactant /alkali leads to formation of in-situ emulsion in reservoir which contributes to EOR and also Emulsion injected inside reservoir also helps in EOR in same way.
The method primary involves either oil droplets entertainment by water phase, which will be produced along with water phase or entrapment of oil droplets of emulsion by small pores of reservoir rock which improves the mobility of aqueous phase. The later is dependent upon droplet size of oil in o/w emulsion.
Is there any reported model/software program available which can model emulsion for emulsion flooding purposes on the basics of reservoir pore geometry and emulsion droplet size.
only a comment - adding nonionic surfactant with low HLB will trigger formation of viscous w/o emulsions

Thanks for you reply. I have also seen same in some literature. Till now I have experimented with a cationic and anionic surfactant. My works require o/w in emulsion. I will screen surfactant accordingly.
