Hello,

I have the following problem and wondered if any encountered it before:

I have a couple of samples that I have isolated RNA from using the miRNeasy kit from Qiagen. I would now like to submit these for bulk RNA-sequencing.

However, I am wondering if it is a problem that the RNA has been isolated with a miRNA kit instead of a traditional mRNA isolation kit.

I am worried that the small RNAs will compete for the adaptors during library prep and they will outcompete the longer mRNAs for adaptors.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
