I am looking at different methods to measure the expression of proteins in vivo in plant cells. I know that GFP-tagging is the most historically common, but I'm just brainstorming (so don't worry about technology I have on hand). Is there a way to target antibodies in plants? Are there ways other than GFP tagging to measure protein expression in these systems?

You can use plant cells in flow cytometry:

Flow is a gold standard for measuring protein expression, and you can recover the cells afterwards, they will be viable.
