What is the procedure to obtain the constants in H/Ho=a+b(S/So)? I have monthly average daily radiation and monthly average day length.
I applied by Exel, but these points in the graph are scattering. I can not get a linear relationship.

Hi, you can use a linear regression (linear least square) on your data as a and b, the unknowns appear linearly in your formula.
Very important question, but normally we try to derive values of a and b on the basis of daily values of climatic elements, as through monthly averages the variations get nullified. a and values are generally reported for growing regions and you can validate them from monthly averaged values. a value basically is related to diffused component of radiation, under the conditions of more cloud covers and reduced direct solar radiation.You may please refer to the articles related to this equation for your region and test validate the equation, regards
