Dear colleagues, has anyone ever used meta-analysis software (REVMAN, CMA etc?) In your opinion which one is the most user-friendly for a beginner like me?
I used Excel spreadsheets for computing effect sizes (ES) and R for analysis (Metafor package). I am also a beginner and I think that using Excel made me really understand the equation used for ES. As I was combining multiple ES, it was really useful.
Metafor can also compute ES and the programmer of the package is always answering questions on multiple forum.

It has some example sheets under "Examples" on the menu and is a plugin for excel
