You have not mention anything about your problem that wanted to simulate in ABAQUS. If you give some details about the problem that you want to analyse with the use of ABAQUS. If you give these details then I could recommend what type of element to be used for simulating the problem. If you select correct element for the simulation then meshing is so simple and easy to generate for any problem. Ok all the best in your research..

I want to conduct a numerical simulation for slab on expansive soil, I have a small part in the model which is yellow I don't know how to make a partition to avoid this thing because I tried a lot to do the partition in different ways. I hope any one can help me because I faced the same problem in another model. Thanks for your attention to all of you.

Hi Alaa Ahmed, you need to partition the cell.

Alternatively, you can use point and normal or datum plane.
