I don't have an eyepiece with Grid, so I use the software Image J to calculate the volume of various particles (eg: Seminiferous tubules ST) by two formulas, I like that you give me your opinion which is more fair:

1) according to Solari (1973)

V ° = P ° / P x V

which

V °: the volume of seminiferous tubules

P ° the number of grid points set by Image J, which overlap with the desired particle

P: the total number of lattice points

V: the total volume of the organ (testis) after fixation

2) Delesse (1884) and Glagolev (1933)

V° = Vr x (M / m) × C

which:

V °: the volume of seminiferous tubules

Vr= P ° / P (as explained above)

M: the mass of the body after fixation

m: the density of the body after fixation (≈ 1.025 according to the same authors)

C: coefficient of shrinkage of the testicular parenchyma after fixation (≈ 0.7 also by the same authors)

thank you that you took the time to read my message and thank you in advance for your reply.
