Measurement of Oligodendrocytes processes and soma with ImageJ?

Hi everyone,

We are testing some drugs that could enhance OPCs (oligodendrocyte precursor cells) proliferation and differentiation and we have some nice pictures that prove there are differences between them in ICC immunolabelings. The point is that we would like to measure these differences in the soma sizes and also in the processes complexity of the oligodendrocytes. Has anybody done this type of analysis with ImageJ or any related software that can help us? We tried to do thresholds and particle analysis but somehow we are loosing info.

Sholl analysis was used for analysing arborization of OLGs (originally developed for dendrites). I think there is an ImageJ plugin too.
