I am working on water hyacinth and especially pathogens which damage the leaves. During the sub-culturing process, I got this isolate, but was not able to get the proper morphology. Is it possible based on the plate to identify the fungi?

I agree with Dr. Scott. You should go for molecular identification by 18s rDNA homology study for proper identification.

In order to identify the fungus by morphology, it is necessary to obtain sporulation. Do not give up, maybe the culture medium is not the right one. You can try other media (cornmeal agar, oatmeal agar, potato-carrot agar), and especially water agar with sterilized leaves of water hyacinth. Natural substrates often work much better to induce sporulation than chemically-defined media.
If the isolate remains sterile, you may try to identify it by DNA sequence comparisons. The first advisable approach is to sequence the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region and compare the sequence with the GenBank database using BLAST. ITS works well in many fungal genera for species, or at least species complex-level identifications.
