Mastax of virgate type. Ears no enough good visible as animal is contracted. But I agree that it is Notommata. Caudal projection short, or absent, so jump into position 32 of key of Kutikova! Mastax only somewhat disproportional. Teeth rudimentary. Alula small, with rudimentary points, rami etc. typical for. N. AURITA. I also like see on photo 1 (not sure, help me) exist pigmented spot? So, cannot be VOIGTI! Esp size. And AURITA can be find in winter and in the earlier spring in large amounts.
Thank you, Andrey, for your explanation. I thought in N. voigti because we found it in winter; but it´s true that it´s more similar to N. aurita. I can´t help you with the pigmented spot. Photos aren´t good enough, sorry.
Photos are not bad! So, no hasitation now. If you will have more rotifers for ID do not hasitate to ask. I have good experience but working mainly with alive samples. Not like taxonomist but hydrobiologist. This is one of my supplement group except of ciliates (should process only alive). But I'm doing mainly with periphyton and benthos where a lot of Bdelloidea, and others very small like Cephalodella or Encentrum, and Parencentrum - so hardly to do ID of dead animals, and amount is usually understated if calculated from fixed samples!
