I'd like to know the Maximum Yield we can achieve with CHO cell line (Irrespective of CHO-s/ExpiCHO/CHO-K1 e.t.c and also the mode of operation like batch, Fed-batch and Perfusion) ?
i think you have to differentiate beetween the yields that could be acheived with TRANSIENT transfections and the yields that can be acheived with an high performance stable clone.
In my experience in transient trasfection using the Expi-CHO cells in shake flask (1 week of incubation at 32°C) we can recover up to 200mg/l l of full lenght igG1mabs but there is variability and the yields could be affected a lot from the selectgion of different signal peptides.
CHO1- Stable clones are reported to produce (using fermenters) also several g/liter of culture since in this case all the cells are able to express the mab for a long time while with transient trasfection the expression progressivelly decade in some days.
