After the emergence of Services and as its contribution to GDP grew, marketers needed to look into the aspects of additional Ps that help understanding services better. Hence 3Ps were added to traditional marketing mix. Additional 3Ps are People, Process and Physical Evidence.
While it is also noteworthy that some authors argue that Packaging to be added as the 8th P in the marketing mix. And according to Bryan K Law, 9th P should be added i.e. Payment (also includes security issue in online payment in cyber age)
One thing to note is that Marketing Mix should not be limited to and considered as perpetual, but subject to change.

I think that you may have 4ps for product marketing and for service marketing we have another 4 extended marketing mix. I.e. people, process and physical evidence. Hence we have 7ps for services marketing.8th p is also introduced for service marketing now.
