Could you suggest any matrix for long chain polysaccharide analysis (masses range 10-40 kDa)? What conditions should I use? Could you propose any special sample preparation method? I am fighting with my analysis for longer time and I am losing so far.

Good MALDI mass spectra of Dextran 5000 have been observed in our lab using mixture (1:1:1 volume ratio) of THAP (2,’4’,6’-trihydroxyacetophenone, 10mg/ml of 50/50 acetonnitrile/H2O) and 0.1% of TFA (trifluoroacetic acid in 50/50 of acetonnitrile/H2O).
