Well, I have this topic, about this "new" tech magnetic bead to enhance the DNA extraction.
For that ones who didn't know about this new tech, I understand that is a magnetic beads that allows selective binding of DNA in the presence of high concentrations of salt, and this bonded DNA can easily separate from the aquose phase, so you'll not have proteins nor other components, just DNA.
Anyone already used this technology and want to share your experiences? We're willing to buy some, but we want to know first if anyone else recommend it or not necessary, because we extract DNA from old samples (1980 samples in OH 96% or plants dried with more than 30 years), or difficult organisms and sometimes we have problems to obtain good quality of DNA.
