I have been working on a DNA channel which has an internal diameter of about 10 nm, and a length of about 60 nm. However, the conductance what i observe in single channel electrophysiology is about in the range of 1.0 to 1.2 nS only. Is there any technical reason for channel with larger internal diameter exhibit lower conductance?
