I understand that liquid argon stored in tanks loses a certain volume over time, whereby the liquid is converted to gas and must be vented.

From a google search this rate appears to be 1.5 - 3% per day, but I could only find a couple of references, mostly from forums.

Are there any technical papers on the subject? I was also wondering if the loss rate decreases as the volume in the tank decreases?
