Can someone recommend comparative or individual studies on Madrasa Rahimiya Delhi, Darul Ulum Deoband and Farangi Mahal's education philosophies, approaches , curriculum's , practices during late 19th century (or earlier)?
I've not read this book for some time and it is probably tangential to your question, but you might find it useful to consider Sanjay Seth "Subject Lessons: the Western education of Colonial India" published by Duke University Press in 2007
