Good question, but very broad. I feel one has to find a particular enterprise with sectoral approach to algn wth various architecture avaible to start with. Following this, one can find elements/components of the architecture available for measurement.

Thank you guys, let me expand on this:  I am looking at Enterprise Architecture Practice (as in Unit, department or subsystem of an organization) fitting the logical attributes of 1. Vision, 2. Products/services, 3. Processes 4.Role 5. Plans/ Outputs/Benefits. It is clear from the literature that the Nature of Technology and Business (especially given the well known failure rates of Projects)EAP is critical component in organizations. The Omnibus Hypotheses is that EAP implementation are lacking in the USA because of many reasons but mostly,  CXO's just do not see or 'believe" in  the value of EAP as "posted by researchers" -- ( Wells Fargo, I apologize, your EAP rocks) 

Therefore I think its a question worth asking, if EAP is on oour problems silver bullet how does the adoption curve look?  .

I am absolutely sure that a number of scales exist on this at INN.theorizeit.org as mentioned, but you may need to piece them together on your own. Not sure I know of anything that directly does all of this. Your explanation brings to mind all the work on user information satisfaction scales going back 20-30 years in the IS field. 

Thank you Kai, again I am having some "aha" momements when you say "all this", I am inclined to think I have lots of work in describing the Research in the narrow scope that I see it in, because of th broad nature of Enterprise architecture, I am now concerned that even my committee (if I am not careful) will see thi as a broad and "longitudinal study. It is not (in my mind) All I am asking is a question that perajps  industry was gro[ling with regarding the establishment of a Marketing Department, which was often stuck under a Sales Division. It was not until recently with the advent of Data mining, Big Data and several analytics that Marketing has finally emerged (in some organization) as the driver of sales. In fact in my Literature review the position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) has emerged. I came across a few enterprise architects who report to a CMO as well, tht aside, where is Enterprise Architecture Practice's place if any today? The purpose of my study is not to evaluate whether or not the practices  EA are of any value, that has ben categorically agreed upon by many researchers scholars and practitioners, my question is why are there half implementations of EAP as an organization or department. And hopefully the CXO an other decision makers can provide insights to support or reject the set o Hypotheses I have formulate from the literature review.

I welcome any suggestions you might have that may clarify my focus on EAP a n rganizatin comparable to other  departments wthn an organization. Thank you.
