Hello, Have you tried Litetraborate as a fusion approach? I developed this method 20 years ago and it is safe, rapid and highly effective for U, Pu and any non-volatile element. You can find my papers easily (Croudace, I.W.)

Hello, I am Marina, a PhD student from Spain. Yes, i am following your paper (ACA, 1998) for the rapid fusion of soil and sediments, to determine U and Pu by alpha spectrometry. And it is very useful! I tried with 5-7 g of sample. Now I would like to try with other samples, such as building or ceramic materials. Do you tried with these samples?
