I think most scholars would agree that effectuation theory formulated by sarasvathy (2001) is still not a mature theory but when do you think it will reach its maturity? How would you compare the development of effectuation theory vs the development of bricolage?

We have to conduct a qualitative comparative analysis investigating configurations of effectuation, causation, & bricolage that are associated with firm performance. We have to consider firm size & development stage as contextual factors that differentiate the effectiveness of ways in which firms combine effectuation, causation, and bricolage.

And again that would depend on the amount of research and type of research in the specific domain (Van Aken, 2004?; Wallace, 2017; Langerak 2014).
Effectuation is very subjective in nature, and lies somewhat in realm of psychology. However, effectuation plays an important role in decisions making. My research is a mixed method study on SMEs, the interviews made it quite clear that decision making plays an important role in export decision of SMEs.
I agree with professor Henrik G.S. Arvidsson! Effactuation theory is still to prove itself via a number of serious longitudinal studies with empiric practical evidence that it works in a variety economic and market scenarios. In addition, due to the nature of SMEs, I don´t think they can spend much time with theories that do not bring answers in the very short term.
