We are building a new plant growth chamber for plant ecotoxicity experiments (algae, seed germination, genotox experiment with Vicia faba, Lemna growth inhibition etc. The old one used cooling and white fluorescent lamps but now we will use LED technology. Do you have any recommendations to give for set up and selection of lighting? The light levels should be variable from 50-130 um/m2 and sec for PAR. Light level is not allowed to vary more than 10 % between replicates and temp interval should be around 15-25 degree Celcius.

in our WETLAN LAB due to limited light conditions (indoor), four CFL 85W light bulbs were placed on a supporting construction above the beds to ensure photosynthesis and better growth. Each one was working in dual spectrum (2700 and 6500K) assuring a 12h photoperiod
