Da, consider că a învăţa pe alţii este o trăsătură înnăscută a fiinţei umane, dacă ne gândim că încă de la naştere şi pe tot parcursul vieţii părinţii îşi cresc copiii prin învăţare, o învăţare accentuată în primii ani ai copilului, până la intrarea acestuia la şcoală. Mai apoi, pe parcurs, învăţarea capătă alte valenţe. Adulţii la rândul lor, copii fiind, au fost crescuţi prin învăţare. Omul, prin tot ceea ce face pe parcursul vieţii învaţă şi este învăţat. În ceea ce priveşte conexiunea sau corespondenţa dintre cele două aspecte, a învăţa pe alţii şi a fi învăţat, cred că este o legătură strânsă, în reciprocitate aş putea spune, fiind învăţat, vei reuşi să înveţi pe alţii, învăţând pe alţii, înveţi şi descoperi lucruri noi tu însuţi, ambele aspecte făcând parte din acelaşi proces instructiv-educativ, deci nu le putem trata separat..

Yes, I consider that to teach others it is an innate human's trait , if we think that from birth and throughout the whole life parents raise their children through learning, an accelerated learning in the early years of the child, up to their entry to school. Then, on the way, learning takes on other meanings. Also, adults when they were children, they were raised through learning. Man through all of what he does during his life, teaches and is taught. In terms of connection or correspondence of these two aspects: to teach others and to be taught, I think that there is a close connection, in reciprocity I can tell. Being taught you will be able to teach others, and by teaching others you learn and discover new things by yourself. Both aspects are part of the same process instructive-educational, so we cannot treat them separately..

Teaching is behavior that is conducted by one individual (the teacher) for the purpose of helping another individual (the pupil) to learn something.

That's a simple definition, but it may need just a bit of elaboration. Notice that teaching, by this definition, is always a form of assistance. The key actor in any instance of learning is the learner; the teacher just helps.

The phrase for the purpose of, in the definition, rules out the great majority of cases in which one individual's actions help another individual to learn. We all learn an enormous amount by watching others do things, but that doesn't mean that those others are teaching us. They are teaching us, according to the definition, only if their actions are done for the purpose of helping us learn.

They are not completely different. Learning from those who teach us also depends on many factors like our talent, capability, and attitude.

However, those who teach must have already learned what they are teaching, whereas those who learn may not be able to teach what they learned.

Every human being develop by learning and teaching, whether consciously or unconsciously. A child learns some behavioural patterns from his parents or Care giver whether the parent or Care giver realizes it or not. So I don't think we can divorce teaching  from learning. Because, for learning to take place, a teacher and a learner are involved. The teacher may also be animate or inanimate. 

Learning is a part of human nature, but to teach others what we know is a different issue; some teach others without reservations, some don't like to pass on knowlegde, while some are not particularly good at passing on knowledge.

Learning is the part of human nature but teaching is a skill which is inert in human and will develop when the situations call for. Everyone learns but most of them may not teach in an appropriate manner. Some cannot teach while some are not interested to teach at all. Again some are interested to teach but are unable to put the facts what they have learnt in a methodical manner such that the recipient may understand. 

Hence learning is a part of human nature while teaching is a part of human skills and are different from other human nature. 

I think teaching and learning are just different faces of the same coin. We learn - I am teaching for the last 26 years - while teaching. Some topics while learning carried different meaning and while teaching we understand the true meaning.

We learn when we teach and we teach consciously or unconsciously when we learn.

Teaching imparts this knowledge. This often works well, but as children become adults, the needs change. Adults are more self-directed and independent. Based on the model of androgyny, there are assumptions that make adult learning different from how child learn. Research on systems thinking and education continues to add to what we know about the difference between teaching, educating, training, and learning and the importance to adult education. For example, a lecture is an example of teaching. Students memorize facts, but retain very little. An educator might facilitate, but also has a goal of motivating and helping students to learn independently. This is not semantics and is more complex. As an example, memorization is not the same as learning. When something is learned, it can then be used in context to achieve a set goal.

While many specializations in formal educational programs require a certain amount of “teaching,” what is taught has direct application to the student’s goals (i.e. professional programs). However, many programs make the assumption that what is presented will be useful to everyone. Given the variety of educational programs, how are we to know what are relates to the characteristics of adult learning? The goal for adults is to learn how to best solve problems. System approaches can be excellent guides in understanding this topic. Some key characteristics of adult learning include:

1. The material being learned needs to have value to the student.

2. The ability to self-direct and be seen as capable

3. Prior experience is valued

4. Personally and academically ready to learn

5. Reason for learning is related to problem solving as opposed to only content acquisition

6. Possibly the most important characteristic is motivation. Students can be ready academically, but without motivation, learning becomes a burden

Not necessarily, I've always considered that teaching others requires vocational skills that are not inherent to human nature in general.

Adult Learning requires bringing the openness from childhood into the present.  Teaching that makes a difference in long-term retention requires allowing students to engage in self-discovery. Observation and setting context is the most important role of the teacher.

1. Discussing that which is important to the learner

2. Asking questions that include each learner

3.  Authenticity - sharing yourself with the learner

4.  Interaction between learners rather than teacher-student focus (Twilight of the Lecture)

5. Comfort with "creative ignorance." (Feinstein)

Learning is necessary for all ones, but teaching is for generous persons who love to others very frequently.

From ancient times, men of science have affirmed that there are two natural sources of learning: a) by imitation, i.e., seeing what others  or nature itself do; b) through an expert (parents, adults or peers). The school as a social institution in all cultures has worked thanks to this second form of learning, usually in charge of teaching  techniques. Therefore, it could be said that teaching and learning are part of human nature. They are two activities that have allowed the development and evolution of humanity, particularly technology and arts.

Even teachers should also adore learning nature. For me and I believe to every one who are teachers , the cycle is  "learning-teaching-learning ". Learn continuously before you teach- teach whatever you learnt - learn a few other things after having taught!!!!

 It is part of human nature to be proud of accomplishments. It is also part of human nature, and the nature of many intelligent animals, to play.  As part of our pride in achieving an accomplishment it is natural to want to share our expertise. Teaching others our skills  gives the same feeling as playing a game. There is a challenge involved and pleasure when there is a positive outcome. In other words, we receive positive reinforcement when we teach and the teaching yield good results.  In the animal kingdom, the animals that we see teaching their young and other companions, as well as the animals that learn best from us, are those at the higher end of the intelligence spectrum. We expect to see primates and cetaceans teaching their young but do not expect to see an opossum expend that same amount  of energy in teaching. 

Education is a process in growing and development and it is a result from interactions between a person and his social and physical environment. Education or learning process occurs lifelong since a person was born. 

Education is a maturation process carried out to achieve the highest happiness and safety.

The knowledge acquired through education is hoped to help someone gain self awareness and self regulation that can change his cognitive and affective behavior, also his learnign skills.

I've got a similar postion so peter Ereyer. We always learn about our wishes or needs. But in relationship with the second question I think teaching is an important part of my life.

Inherited characteristics and tendencies are not at all times evident at birth. Many physical features appear steadily through the process of maturation, the hereditarily directed changes that happen over the course of development. Environmental support, for example food, sensibly safe and toxin-free environment, and responsive care from others, is essential for maturation to take place; nature by no means works alone.

Learning is a journey. This means embarking on a trip, don't know what you are going to expect and so every moment counts. On the journey of  learning, you learn new things everyday. Helping people in their journey and using pedagogy that allows them  get to there destination is what teachers need to be aware off. Teaching is an investment -it means investing on people's lives and getting the best out of then in future.

Teaching others is part of activity of mature persons. Do not teach is unmaturity.

The main top secret of teaching is that you continually learn from it. You’re continually being confronted still if your major teaching themes are the similar. The simple act of getting out and share your experience will at all times obtain you out of your comfort region.

This is  a good question .  I believe teaching and learning are conscious and intentionally  activities . these are 2 sides of a  coin .when you are a teacher , there is at least one person who learns, but in this situation you as a teacher have more or equal (at least )motivation to teach your student . when you are a learner , your motivation for learning is more or equal ( in comparison)  with  the teacher. I believe human being  is both  a teacher and a learner at the same time .

Teaching and learning are essential skills  for  life, specially  for development and transcendent . Educational reforms and evolution  happen to find the best strategies for  people education  to be   good teachers and good students in  The third millennium   of the world.
