English is my second language and while writing articles I often have challenges in selecting the most appropriate words to express my ideas and with the usage of articles (particularly "the"). I think it could be a barrier for non-native English speakers. However, journal editors and reviewers are usually very helpful and supportive and guide non-native writers. If the ideas are expressed in an understandable manner, editors and reviewers help correcting trivial errors.

Some times the English or second Language play negative role in publishing the articles especially for researchers want to publish in scientific journals within the Scopus or Clarivate index, must be written in good, scientific and excellent language. So the researchers must be take a course in English language in their specialization frequently.

There is no doubt that if English is not your primary language and if your fluency in English is not as great as that of a native English speaker you might encounter some difficulties expressing your thoughts and findings in an article. Use of correct grammar is a major obstacle for some folks.

yes it is an additional hurdle - but for some of us English speakers who are dyslexic, it is also a problem. I always ask friends to read and correct my articles before I submit!!

Yes, in order to build good research network , you have to use English language in your research and publication, local languages are not sufficient to spread your research ideas.

For me English language is essential for any scientific effort so the work become visible by the World
