Hello !! is there anyone who have dealt with landsat 7 scan line problem? I tried to correct with gapfill extension in ENVI but resulted in image with blurry patches. If anyone who have solved this problem, please leave a comment below. It would be a great help for me. Thank you!
After removing the scanlines you have to do a radiometric Correction (calibration) to remove all distortions on the Landsat 7 image. This may make the image much sharper for further preprocessing.
instead of interpolating the gaps with filling algorithms, you can try to find more images of the same area. As the different acqusitions (and their gaps) are often slightly shifted, chances are good that you can fill them based on temporally close images.Basically, the gaps of image 1 are covered by valid pixels of image 2 (and vice versa)

Another alternative is to use SAGA software whixh have à tool to fill landsat 7 gap
I'm using it and it gives me satisfaction
