Hi all,

How would I go about running a mixed effects model with the rank data I have. Participants (within-participants) read five A stories and five B stories, and for each set (A and B) they ranked them all one through five with how interesting they thought they were (1 being highest interest). How can I go about running either a Kruskal-Wallis test or Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test with the random effects of story and participant? Is there a library in R for this? Are these the tests I would even want to run?

Since it's nonparametric data, I don't think I could get away with considering it ordinal data and running it in a regular regression.
