RO has been around for more than a decade and focusing on modelling alone might has little novelty and contribution to knowledge. Do try to explore more about the applications for membrane filtration and the role new membrane technologies in RO.

Concerning my background, I'm a civil & environmental engineer, I have a solid knowledge in maths but limited in programming.
Indeed, working on complex fluid dynamics in spiral conduits sounds promicing, but I'm also thinking about working on topics such as Optimum design of a multi-stage reverse osmosis process (I would like to know your opinion about this topic)
I would like to mention that in the lab in which I'm going to work, there is only one prototype with two modules, one of RO & the other of NF, so I wonder if I can do much with this.
