Hello everyone.

I have synthesized SrTiO3 nanoparticles through hydrothermal route.

XRD data clearly shows that the powder is crystalline SrTiO3 with 25 nm crystallite size, I have FESEM images showing nanoparticles with morphologies spherical to polyhedral and sizes in 100 nm range. However there were some finer particles too. I took HRTEM images to see in detail the particles, but the problems is, the operator could not detect any lattice fringes. It was like as if my particles were amorphous, which are not because he took SAED pattern and saw that the particle he was trying to see fringes in, was crystalline.

The equipment is perfectly align and there were no contamination in my sample according to operator's opinion.

Does anybody have any explanation?
