All others appear to be doing t he same thing and making scientific publication a business where only those who have funds will get published and others, like us, have to manage with the "other" journals. So what's so unique about the situation with Elsevier? Why not boycott all journals that have compulsory page charges? I look forward to understanding your perspective.
All journals dont charge. Majority of online journals charge. Furthermore, to run a publishing company or journals is a business. Thus, they will run their business as business enterprises. Researchers comes from different Socio-economic and educational backgrounds and boycott will not solution for them.

Many researchers are avoiding journals that charge for publishing. Choosing a journal for publication is a free process. Nevertheless, to announce as a policy, that only funded papers will be published is a discriminating move which,probably ,explains why researchers would like to boycott a publishing house.
