When I first joined RG, I hoped so but it has not happened - so I share the attitude of others like Sotiris Folinas and Hayder Ibrahim Mohammed . In particular, I support the comment that it may impact your RG score but not really for your citations.
Joseph C Lee - You are requested to go through in RI Score section of RG where the following numerical are mentioned - each read - + 0.05 of RI , each reco = +0.25 RI , each citation = +0.5 RI .

Joseph C Lee Sir, Thank you for your honest opinion. I totally agree with you. Read and recommendation in RG have no value when discussing real citation of the published article. I believe RG should work to reach working researchers with high real impact.
The recommendations in researchgate have nothing to do with a true analysis by a reviewer (competent in his field).
A recommendation is very subjective and can be given by any member (competent or not) of RG.
ResearchGate can provide greater visibility for an article, although most journals are copyright-dependent, apart from open access journals or preprints.
