I want to know more about the insecticidal application strategies as I' m going to compare different application strategies for the management of insect pests infesting okra. So give idea in context to effectiveness of concentration base insecticides or active ingredient based insecticides in depth.
I agree with dr. Suresh Kumar. Concentration of active ingredient is the most important characteristic, because it allows to determine the intensity of field treatment after preliminary screening in laboratory.
Concentration of active ingredient is key to bioactivity but the adjuvant used in the formulation may determine efficacy. For example, volatility, solubility, dispersion etc. of the adjuvant is critical to determining whether active ingredient will have short or long term effect on target pest.
For a given active ingredient, concentration is important, particularly when the pesticide target a mode of action relevant a given organism. For example, fungicides generally have little impact on insects, while organophorous insecticides do.
Take note that there are tremendous variations of mode of action and bioactivities across insecticides.

Pesticides are xenobiotics. They have special effects on their target organisms (as insecticides, acaricides, fungicides, herbicides, etc.) and side-effects of non target organisms and the biosphere. The aim would be to provide the most efficient – and specific - impact on target organisms and none (this is practically impossible) or the mildest efficiency on non target organisms and the environment. Generally, modern pesticides provide high efficiency in relatively small concentration and dosage. Certainly, this means that their side-effects may be important. The trouble is, that the characteristics of side-effects are not very well known: see e.g. side-effects of neonicotinoids on honey bees and other non-target (surface water) organisms.
Regarding the Haber law, concentration of xenobiotics is a very characteristic feature among other circumstances.

It is the beauty/ quality of ai to kill insects, either way adjuvant alone may or may not work, everybody knows.
Of course that the active ingrediente (AI) concentracion is importan for pest control. Pesticides companies thru research find the adequate dose of AI to cause an adequate control on pest populations. Lower or higher are not reccomended.
