That depends on the conditions of the place where you want to use, such as slope and degree of erosion. There are many possibilities ranging from pruning crushing, straw, waste carpentry, etc., until suso blankets vegetable fibers such as those used in road embankments and other works of infraestrucutras.
As such they are many mulches depending the topography of the soils and climatic conditions. off which soil or dust mulch is recommended for conserving moisture in dryland areas. stubble/ weeds/straw mulch also recommended for increasing infiltration besides conserving moisture. while in wide row crops, paper mulching also recommended. Kindly explain where and what conditions you want to use mulches.
I like the rain simulator laboratory conditions by measuring the amount of soil protection by mulching it. And I want to get acquainted with new mulch.

A lot depends on the the cropping system, soils and materials available for mulching. Any type of plant or crop residue that is available in and adequate quantity would be suitable for a mulch cover.

As you are aware, to combat erosion and maintain soil both direct and indirect ways that each have multiple methods. According to the book written by doctor Azarnivand rangelands and doctor CHahooki possibility of making Bankette there in the land to the slope gradient of 60% to 10% -30% as well.
