I need to evaluate in the tumor mass the presence/amount of murine and human cells after xenotransplantation of human tumoral cells in mice. I have found this paper (Alcocer SY, BMC Biotechnology, 2011) and in the first part of the paper they analyze the presence of human and mouse cells with pairs of primers specific versus prostaglandin E receptor 2 (PTGER2) gene in human or in mouse. I want to test it quickly and economically, thus the "qualitative" PCR seems the best way. Is there anyone who tested these PCR primers and then runned an agarose gel? Did you have a good discrimination of the two cell types?
Thanks
