Normally, Fe-based amorphous metal have a good soft magnetic properties, while have a disadvantages of high magnetostriction. So, there are some attempt to reduce its magnetostriction. But I'm not sure that which effort is there. So can you help me?
Magnetostriction is a consequence of the metallic structure.
Applying a strong magnetic field suppresses cyclic changes [see my papers about 40 years ago!!]. High carbon quenched steels are the least magnetostrictive while low carbon annealed steels have the highest coeefficient..
