I have 8 channel eeg data in edf. Channel 9 is edf annotation with information about channel location and so on... I have tried many time to extract events from edf and import in eeglab but it did not show me exact number of event!!?? always some events are missing!?? is there any way to Import events from edf to eeglab safely?? events are Motor imaginary and Audio stimulation!
I used eeglab11_0_5_4b to load an EDF+ data set using the biosig toolbox plugin. then the annotations are in an additional channel that can be removed for the analysis and all events should be present

Note what is said regarding columns in your .ced file that you use for reading in locations. I also made sure that my .ced file had all the columns properly aligned. Once I did this, all the events were present when plotting in EEGLAB.
Read .edf file and save it as .set file. The tutorial of eeglab includes the usage of .set format.
