I really need to consult with you about my problem. Actually, I use a really simple model for the simulation of laser machining. in my model, I consider laser beam like a circle (that's like a ellipse in my model because of diode laser) and I've connected the all circles together like a line as same as a laser effect on a surface. The schematic is demonstrated in the first picture. I used this method for some laser bending modeling and it worked. Now, I've faced a problem!! because before that I just had to model a simple line of laser, but for my new modeling, there are some lines, which have interrupted each other. you can understand it when you check the second figure! If I want to apply the previous method, the circles will come to each other and the final mesh is gonna be so much inappropriate. what do you think? may I know your suggestion or your laser method?

This is probably not popular, but I always used an Eulerian mesh in my laser absorption modeling.
Are the laser lines interrupted each other? and the mesh works well?
In my opinion, SolidWorks Simulation is the best for you. Good Luck
