After building or developing a model, calibration and assessing model performance is a common practice. One way of assessing model performance is by using goodness-of-fit measures. I am interested to know if there is a standard or a literature out there, in the wastewater treatment plants modelling, which gives acceptable range of these goodness-of-fit measures? Like coefficient of determination, Nash-Sutcliffe coefficient or coefficient of efficiency, etc.
I think applying more than a single goodness-of-fit measures and comparing them can be of help. Measures such as R2, chi square and sum-of -square error can be tried on the model
Application of any model the Regression coefficient should be less than 1. i.e the value should be in the range of 0.9-1 which shows the best fit. By plotting graph between experimental value and theoretical value should gives minimum error.
