I am looking for a simple method for preparing thin films of alumina mimicking the membranes can be acquired by different suppliers companies. I thought in preparing using the versatile sol gel process but employing low temperatures which allow us to render more times this experiences. I will be very grateful for any suggestions from higher experienced colleagues than me in this area. Warmest regards and good experiences!

you may use ASB complexed with acac as alumina precursor and allow sol-gel hydrolysis-condensation in acidic medium to obtain matrix which can be spin/dip coated on glass substrate and calcined at ~400-50 C to get alumina. you may refer to some of the works of De's group (https://scholar.google.co.in/citations?user=dpLjgcsAAAAJ&hl=en
