I want to measure blood pressure in Wistar rats after loading with a high sodium diet. But in most of the studies used the tail-cuff method for measuring. Is there any simple method that does not require high-cost equipment?

tall cuff measurements are the easiest to do but it requires some patience. The rat needs to become accustomed to being put into the small black container. Therefore, it is necessary to train the rats to be comfortable in the box before getting reliable measurements. By far the most accurate method to measure blood pressure is with using telemetry probes. However, the cost is great and requires surgical procedures.
