To me the word "faith" somehow brings about a picture of relying or believing in someone somewhat blindly whereas the word "trust" seems to be a trait developed after an extensive relationship with someone who has time and time again proved to be reliable and kept their word (also there is congruence between their words and action). Thus I would trust someone who has demonstrated that they are dependable. If I don't now the person and I have to entrust that person with a highly responsible job or task then the element of faith comes in for me. In this case I am trusting my intuition and judgment that I am making the right decision.
