Are there any references on the effects of the yeast Anthomyces reukaufii (Synonyms: Metschnikowia gruessii, Metschnikowia reukaufii, Nectaromyces reukaufii, Candida reukaufii) on ruminant digestion. The yeast occurs on flowers and is supposed to be spread by pollinators, leading to the suggestion that pollinators might improve ruminant health. The literature I have access to is from before 1945.
