I am planning to use Nano particles (Iron Nano Particles) as the coating on GFRP composite, by mixing nano particles in resin and applying it as last layer of composite (only, not using in between layers). My query is, weather this type of coating will have any effect on the properties on the composite? Is any research going on the same.. Please let me know.. You are suggestions are highly appreciated..
Not sure about iron nanoparticles.. but there are many papers on utility of nano-clay in GFRP composites.

The researcher are used Nano Clay as filler material, not as coatings.. So if you know any such papers let me know..
There is a vast amount of work done in this area, just explore the papers. It depends on the application that you are targetting. For example, work has been done on the electrical conducting properties of such nanofiller composites. Keep in mind that there will be severe galvanic issues in such cases. Good luck!
