We found a great amount of pollen in Polygonatum flowers that are buzz-pollinated (ca 30 000), and a little lower pollen amount in the related species of the Convallariaceae, but we do not know whether or not this “great amount” is enough for cross-pollination by buzzing . Polygonatum flowers can be self- or cross-pollinated, according to the literature. I need any data for comparison, like Cruden 1977 list of species with P/O index, exactly for buzz-pollinated plants. Does anybody help me with this question?
