Dear Yifan Zhang, high MW are named polyethylene oxides (PEO) instead of PEG. So search for PEO with the targeted MW, you will find even higher MWs than those you need. Polymerization is not so hard or difficult as you may think. My Regards
Abdelkader BOUAZIZ Hi Abdelkader, thanks for the answer. I understand that high molecular weight PEO is easy to find on the market. What I am looking for now is poly(ethylene glycol) dimethyl ether (PEGDME), which has a different terminal group (-OCH3) from PEG/PEO (-OH). Any thoughts on this one?
No thanks, if you have ethylene oxide you can synthesise it via ROP using an initiator bearing the dimethyl ether group or you can modify a PEO via known procedures. Please have a look at the following free access paper. My Regards
