Many of them are predatory journal.Before submitting do check on other know plateform about its reliability.

An alternative to IF right now is the citescore (by Scopus).

Its simply fake. Always look for authentic impact factor journals.

Thanks so much all. I just felt there should be a regulatory body that would be taking down or institute legal action on those fake journals . Alot of innocent authors are falling victim. Not only that, there are couple of fake conferences as well. I was ones a victim and still feel the pain.

Impact factors provide scientists with an excuse why to avoid evaluating colleagues by reading their works. It is also a means journals use in order to increase their sales in this money-oriented world. If someone’s work appeals to you, if you think that it us interesting and important, why should you care about the impotence factor of the journal?

Impact factors were created to help librarians with limited budgets select which journals to keep. They inherently show the use of a journal in providing citation worthy papers. Any vanity use by researchers having individual papers published are obvious an incorrect use of the metric.

Still, it cannot be denied that a young researcher who doesn't know everything yet is more likely to get a good peer-review of his manuscript and eventually exposure of the eventual published paper if he submit to a journal that has an impact factor - and perhaps not the lowest in the field.

Really, what lead young researchers into publishing in this kind of journals sometimes is the lengthy review duration in most of the conventional citation index journal. Most journals need to work on their processing time. I still wonder why some reveiwers keep manuscript for more than 3 months. If they are busy to reveiwers such a manuscript, they shouldn't have accepted to review them in the first place. Many authors want their work published within short time, perhaps trying to meet up an appraisal, research students trying to avoid paying for extra semester and all that. I have a manuscript submitted for over 7 months now and still under review.

Secondly is dishonesty, inexperience and lack of indept knowledge of the topic or the research arear proposed in the manuscript. Many reveiwer's arguement are so annoying that one would just realized they don't have knowledge of the research area. Funnily enough, such manuscript may end up being rejected based on that, if one try to correct them when asked to carry out corrections. It has once happened to me. A reveiwer recommended acceptance of the paper while the other one asked a certain question which I responded to by correcting him on the interpretation. All I saw few weeks later was rejection of the manuscript without even submitting it to another reviewer.

Even JCR is only for Scopus listed journals even though the JCR includes out of date journals kicked out of scoupus.
