Hello to everyone,

We are using a Co/ Alumina catalyst for the FT reaction, however, we are doing a classic reduction in a four with H2 flow, because our reactor is just attempting 310°C max, and the T of reduction is around 400°C, therefore, a reduction in-situ is not possible.

We are assuming that from the moment that our provider send us the fresh reduced catalyst to fill our reactor (with 200g ) by another company from the delivering and the filling, there is some re oxidation coming from the contact with air.

Do you have any comments, technical suggestion in order to keep very active our catalyst? We are observing a decreasing performance in our process compared with the performance that our catalyst provider is having in their laboratory (they do in-situ reduction).

We are working in a semi industrial conditions, so, all the steps are having place in different installations.

Thanks a lot in advance for your comments,

AI
