i used sentaurus for my simulation.
i want to solve a specific bias like vg=0.7, vd=0.5 using sdevice
but when i change drain voltage at electrode section, it has error on initial guess stage
ILS:ERROR: preconditiong failed.
are there no way to start from not zero drain voltage?
i checked all of examples in sentaurus but they only introduce way that ramp up from 0 bias..
and i also wonder there are any instructions to change voltage in solve section.
for instance, vg=0~0.35 sweep(solve) and jump to vg=0.7 then solve.

Yes, if you directly mention a high bias at the electrode section, it failed to guess the initial value to start the iteration. You have to ramp voltage from zero to avoid convergence issues. Anyway, you will get output (such as terminal current) corresponds to last bias point in plot file and device information and other physical quantity such as potential, electron conc etc will be saved into tdr file for the last bias point only.

Jaehyuk Lim It's actually very easy.
If you want to solve the electrostatic stat only, then define the voltage at the electrode section and remove any kind of voltage sweep in the solve section.
also, you can solve say for any different voltage at the start and make the desired point as the voltage "goal". that way the tdr file show the final stat directly.
