As Rotislav mentioned, you can have a gepreat number of groups, but the sample size will need to be bigger

Of course I forgot to mention that each group must follow normality asumption. Check the assumptions for the one way ANOVA as mentioned by Laerd Statistics at https://statistics.laerd.com/spss-tutorials/one-way-anova-using-spss-statistics.php
